MEET THE TEAM
Our experienced team is committed to service excellence at each stage of your project.
Paul E. Soletski, Owner and President, is each new customer's initial point of contact for sales and design. Paul's early professional career in architectural drafting quickly evolved in to new construction and real estate sales. As his interest and involvement in the housing industry grew, by the mid-1980's Paul had co-founded his own successful real estate brokerage, was elected President of the Northeast Wisconsin Board of Realtors and President of the Multiple Listing Service, and eventually came to be the sole operating broker of Century 21 Soletski & Associates by the 1990's with over 30 agents under his supervision. After successfully designing and building his own homes and several speculative homes, Paul began to channel his passion and creativity for new home design in to Bay Lakes Builders, which was founded in 1989. Since that time, Paul has continued to evolve as a talented designer and consultant in helping guide each of his customers to make the best possible housing decisions. Paul is actively involved in the Brown County Home Builders Association (BCHBA) most recently serving as President in 2018 while also participating in several sub-committees including the Showcase of Homes, Builder-Inspector Task Force, and Governmental Affairs.
Dawn Soletski, Owner and Selections Coordinator, is Paul's wife and Construction Manager Dan Wiesman's sister. She is a valuable resource to each of Bay Lakes customers when it comes to making material selections within budget while offering a keen eye for coordinating all of the different materials, textures, and colors on a given project. While some Bay Lakes customers have a clear vision for the exterior and interior aesthetic of their home, there are many who do not. It can be incredibly re-assuring when looking at smaller samples for a new home's finishes to have someone experienced in making those types of decisions with confidence. With a background in interiors - including formerly owning and operating a local interior design and decor store - Dawn is highly-skilled in visualizing the finished whole from its individual parts. Dawn's interior design consultation services are included as a value-added feature to each Bay Lakes new home and major remodeling project. If you're not building with Bay Lakes, Dawn's services are also available available for interior design consultation, sourcing furnishings and decor, or providing window treatments. Dawn is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Wisconsin and works with many of Bay Lakes' new home clients to help them market and sell their existing homes.
Ryan Soletski, Vice President, is Paul's oldest son and, since starting full time at Bay Lakes in 2003, now oversees several core areas for Bay Lakes Builders. Once Bay Lakes' customers have worked with Paul to prepare the home design and amenity list, Ryan then works to provide accurate pricing while writing detailed scopes of work and building specifications. As part of this process, he also prepares a menu of pricing options to help Bay Lakes' prospective customers make highly-informed decisions within their budgets. Once contract documents are in place, Ryan manages all project accounting. Ryan also oversees the company's financial and marketing activities, information technologies (IT), makes regular contributions to the sales and design process, oversees purchasing, and collaborates with Paul and Dawn on operations management. Ryan earned his B.A. in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a minor in Business Administration. He also holds a Real Estate Broker's license in the state of Wisconsin and is involved in marketing and transaction management for Bay Lakes' real estate customers. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and playing tennis.
Dan Wiesman, Construction Manager, has overseen construction activities for Bay Lakes Builders since 2001 during which time he has coordinated the construction of hundreds of homes and remodeling projects. Dan's background in millwork prior to working with Bay Lakes gives him a unique perspective and appreciation for the finish woodwork that goes in to each project, the quality of which has become a staple of every Bay Lakes home. Working almost exclusively in the field, Dan is able to focus solely on quality control for each construction project. In particular, Dan's attention to details for framing, air sealing, and insulation have played a significant role in Bay Lakes' new homes routinely exceeding the Focus on Energy program's air infiltration requirements by over 50%. Dan is responsible for the project schedule, supervision of all workmanship, management of the construction site, coordinating material deliveries and returns, and scheduling all inspections. During construction, Dan is available for on-site meetings to address any concerns and facilitate walk-through meetings with any of Bay Lakes trade partners to ensure that no details are missed. At the end of construction, Dan will complete the punch list and obtain the final occupancy permit.
Mike Meyer, Project Coordinator, joined Bay Lakes Builders in 2019. Mike's background with a family business specializing in windows, doors, and millwork has provided him a unique and valuable perspective to his role with Bay Lakes. Before construction, Mike handles site research, permitting, and utility service applications. During construction, Mike is the point of contact for Bay Lakes' customers for change orders, facilitating approvals on material and color selections, submitting orders to our trade partners, preparing various construction detail drawings, routing specifications and critical information between Bay Lakes' trade partners, and tracking lien waivers and insurance certificates. Once the home is complete, Mike provides Bay Lakes' customers with a new home orientation and works with Dan on completing the punchlist. Post-construction, Mike handles all warranty service requests. In his free time, Mike enjoys bicycling, golfing, following the Packers, and being with his family.
Holly Wiesman, Accounts Payable / Purchasing Assistant, joined Bay Lakes Builders in 2024 in a part-time capacity. Holly's focus is with accounts payable and purchasing for our construction projects with an emphasis on building exteriors (roofing, siding, masonry, etc.). Holly is Dan's wife and, while her role is not customer-facing, her role is vital to ensuring we can deliver the best possible pricing and accurate orders to ensure a smooth-running project.
